The suspects were found in possession of counterfeit gazette documents intended for various unauthorized uses. They remain in police custody and are expected to face prosecution once investigations are complete.

GPCL has described the circulation of fake gazettes as a direct threat to the credibility of state documentation. The company has reaffirmed its constitutional role as the sole authority mandated to print and publish the Ghana Gazette, warning that any attempt to bypass this process undermines the integrity of governance.

As part of its campaign, GPCL is urging the public to avoid roadside agents and unauthorized intermediaries. Genuine gazettes carry distinct security features, including watermarks and anti-counterfeit identifiers, and are available only through GPCL’s official offices and designated outlets.

The Gazette 360 initiative is not just about enforcement — it’s about restoring public trust. GPCL is taking its message to schools, religious institutions, and civic centers, ensuring that citizens understand how to verify documents and protect themselves from fraud.
