The Kingdom of Eswatini demonstrated solidarity with the Asante Kingdom as it mourned the passing of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, the late Asantehemaa.

A high-level delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister Senator Thulisile Dladla, visited Manhyia Palace on September 17, 2025, to extend condolences to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

During the visit, the Eswatini delegation engaged with the Asantehene, offering words of comfort and support during this period of national mourning.

Their presence highlighted the close diplomatic and cultural ties between the two kingdoms.

The visit took place amid the ongoing burial rites, which began on September 15 and will conclude on September 18 with the final interment at Breman Baamu.

The orderly proceedings have been carefully scheduled, including public and dignitary filing past, which runs from 5 am to 5 pm daily, with outdoor movement restrictions implemented on the final evening to facilitate a smooth burial.
