Tori Spelling recently opened up about a surprising chapter from her past involving a date with Charlie Sheen — and a request she wasn’t quite ready for.
On the September 22 episode of her misSPELLING podcast, Tori recounted a double date she went on with Sheen in the mid-1990s. At the time, Tori was living with her roommate Kevin, who later became her dentist. Both Kevin and Sheen weren’t exactly sober during the outing, which took place just a few floors above Sheen’s Los Angeles condo.
Kevin, it turns out, was playing matchmaker. “Kevin said, ‘Charlie wants to ask you on a date,’” Tori recalled, admitting she felt nervous and didn’t want to go alone. The date ended up including Kevin’s parents — awkward for most, but familiar to both Tori and Sheen.
Despite the nerves, Tori was impressed. She described Sheen as “unimaginably intelligent,” “charming,” and “off the charts funny.” The night took a chaotic turn when Charlie invited her to a party at his place and allegedly offered her a crack pipe — which Tori politely declined.
The same year, Sheen became a target for US Marshals following an alleged attack on his girlfriend Brittany Ashland. Kevin asked Tori if she could hide him, but she quickly refused. “Are you f***ing kidding me?” she remembered saying. “I think he’s a really great guy, but I’m not doing that.”
Charlie Sheen later mentioned the incident in his memoir, without blaming Tori for saying no. Hiding someone from law enforcement can be risky, and in this case, Tori chose caution over complicity — even while recounting the story with a sense of humor.
