A shocking development has emerged in a murder investigation involving two relatives who worked together as a trotro driver and his mate.
The bus conductor, Isaac Arhin, admitted to wrongly implicating his driver, Evans Mensah, in the killing of a woman. Both men had initially been remanded for two months following the incident.

Police investigations revealed that Isaac, who had once lived with Evans, was forced to leave their shared residence after being involved in an inappropriate relationship with a 13-year-old girl.
After losing his home, he was taken in by a pastor and housed at the pastor’s mother-in-law’s property.
Despite the shelter, Isaac attacked the woman, using a pestle and a polythene bag to commit the murder before fleeing with GH¢1,500 in cash.
When arrested, he falsely accused Evans of participating in the crime, reportedly in retaliation for past conflicts, including physical altercations. This accusation led to both men being remanded.
Haunted by guilt, Isaac eventually admitted that Evans had no involvement in the murder. However, the legal system has yet to secure Evans’s release, as the investigation and court processes continue. Isaac remains in custody, facing charges for the violent killing, while Evans’s freedom is still pending judicial review.
