Under the promotion, users on the Compact Plus package will be upgraded to Premium, Compact subscribers move to Compact Plus, Family users get Compact, Access subscribers advance to Family, and Padi Package users are upgraded to Access. Payment on any eligible package, excluding Premium, triggers the automatic upgrade.

The initiative is set to run from October 1 to December 31, 2025, and is intended as a gesture of appreciation to loyal customers, granting them access to channels from the next higher package without extra charges.

This temporary arrangement contradicts prior statements from the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, who had described the DStv negotiations as a permanent agreement aimed at delivering increased value for Ghanaian viewers.

The promotion addresses concerns over affordability and ensures that households enjoy more entertainment content while supporting the sustainability of DStv services in Ghana.
