Jennifer Lopez: Why None of My Husbands Could Love Me the Way I Needed!
  • Jennifer Lopez, 56, says she has never experienced true love.
  • She believes her past partners were not capable of giving her the love she desired.
  • The singer has been married and divorced four times, including a 2024 split from Ben Affleck.
  • Lopez said her latest divorce pushed her into deep self-reflection and therapy.
  • She now feels more confident, self-aware, and at peace with herself.

Jennifer Lopez is finally speaking her truth—after years of love, heartbreak, and high-profile marriages, the music and film star says she’s never truly experienced the kind of love she longed for.

At 56, the Hustlers actress and global performer reflected on her romantic past, revealing that while she’s received lavish displays of affection—rings, homes, and grand gestures—what she really needed was emotional depth. “It wasn’t that I was unworthy of love,” Lopez explained during an interview on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show. “It was that some people just aren’t capable of giving the kind of love you need.”

Her reflections come months after finalizing her 2024 divorce from Ben Affleck, her fourth marriage. Despite the pain, Lopez calls the breakup a turning point in her life. Determined to understand herself and the patterns that shaped her relationships, she threw herself into therapy, spiritual guidance, and personal growth.

That inner work, she said, helped her reconnect with who she truly is—a woman comfortable in her complexity and confident in her worth. Lopez, who shares 17-year-old twins Max and Emme with singer Marc Anthony, said the process of self-discovery has made her stronger and more self-aware than ever.

Looking back on the past year, Lopez said she’s finally learned to embrace both the highs and lows of life. She described her recent summer as one of the most joyful seasons she’s ever experienced, adding that peace came once she stopped chasing perfection and began appreciating every moment, even the difficult ones.
