The New Patriotic Party has completed its nationwide voter album verification and validation process as preparations intensify for the presidential primaries set for January 31, 2026. The committee overseeing the election says the exercise covered every constituency, including the party’s external branches.

This update was provided during a media briefing in Accra on November 6, 2025, by the Committee Chairman, Joseph Osei-Owusu. He announced that the provisional voter register will be handed over to all presidential aspirants on November 13, giving them two weeks to scrutinize the document and submit any concerns before it is finalized.

The committee explained that a few administrative errors — such as misspellings and omissions — were discovered during the validation. These are currently being corrected and are not expected to affect the accuracy or credibility of the voter register.

As part of transparency commitments, the committee emphasizes its determination to oversee a credible and unbiased process. It has encouraged party stakeholders and the media to avoid circulating information that could create distrust around the election.

The January primaries will determine which of the final contenders will represent the NPP in the 2026 general elections.
