Vincent Assafuah, Member of Parliament for Old Tafo under the New Patriotic Party, has announced plans to remove all polling station executives in areas where the party’s votes fell during the 2024 election.

During a recent campaign engagement that quickly circulated online, Assafuah made it clear that the party’s presidential candidate is not responsible for ensuring vote retention at the local level. He emphasized that the duty to protect the party’s vote share rests with the polling station executives, and that their failure in certain areas would lead to decisive action.

The MP instructed constituency leaders to review voting records and identify specific stations where the party lost support. Executives in these underperforming stations are set to be replaced as part of an internal review aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots performance ahead of future elections.

This move highlights the party’s internal accountability measures and signals a tightening of operational control in constituencies where vote losses were recorded, ensuring that local leadership aligns with party objectives moving forward.
