Head Coach Otto Addo has named three debutants in his latest Black Stars squad for upcoming friendlies against Japan and South Korea. The new call-ups are expected to showcase their abilities and compete for a potential place in Ghana’s World Cup lineup.

CF Montréal striker Prince Osei Owusu has been rewarded for a productive season, building on earlier successes with Toronto FC. Over the past two seasons, Owusu scored nine goals in 31 appearances. His earlier European career included stints at TSG Hoffenheim, where he netted 17 goals across two seasons, and in the Bundesliga 2 with Arminia Bielefeld. During a loan spell at TSV 1860 Munich in Germany’s third division, he contributed eight goals and six assists in all competitions.

Prince Kwabena Adu, formerly of Bechem United, has impressed in the Czech Republic with Viktoria Plzeň, scoring six goals in all competitions this season. Adu had previously been named in a provisional Ghana U-20 squad for the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in 2021 but was sidelined by a knee ligament injury. His recent performances have earned him the opportunity to compete at senior international level.

Medeama SC winger Kelvin Nkrumah has emerged as one of the standout performers in the ongoing Ghana Premier League. His contributions have propelled Medeama to second place in the league standings and drawn praise from football analysts, culminating in his first call-up to the national team.

These three additions signal a mix of domestic and international talent, giving Ghana fresh options ahead of the upcoming international fixtures.
