A tragic incident unfolded at a bank in Lagos when a young Nigerian soldier lost his life while performing his security duties.
Reports indicate the officer was stationed at the bank’s entrance when a man, described as mentally unstable, attempted to force entry into the banking hall. Attempts to restrain him quickly escalated into a violent encounter.
Eyewitnesses say the man resisted the soldier’s efforts to block him and managed to seize the soldier’s firearm during the struggle. Moments later, a shot was fired, fatally wounding the officer.
