Mary Rockstar, who previously worked as a maid for musician Kuami Eugene, has urged the public to stop referring to the singer as her “boss.”

In a self-recorded video that quickly went viral, Mary revealed that she has moved on from her previous role and is now running her own food business, specializing in gari with beans and rice. She encouraged Ghanaians and her followers to support her new venture.

Mary explained that she deliberately avoids mentioning Kuami Eugene’s name because he had instructed her not to do so. Despite this, she noted that many people continue to link her business success to the musician, even though they no longer have any working relationship and are not on friendly terms.

She made it clear that Kuami Eugene had no role in her current achievements, emphasizing that she earned her progress independently. Shockingly, she added that when they parted ways, the singer gave her only 200 Ghana Cedis, which didn’t even make it home.

Mary’s message is a direct plea for recognition as her own person and business owner, free from associations with her former employer.
