The Minister of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has inaugurated an 11-member facilitator body for the Cybersecurity Industry Forum with a call on them to actively participate in the review of the Cybersecurity Act 2020 (ACT 1038).

He said, that would ensure industry perspectives were reflected in the reforms of the ACT 1038.

The work of the facilitator body is enshrined in section 81(2) of the ACT 1038, with the mandate of leading the strategic direction of the industry forum, setting priorities, and ensuring that the objectives align with national cybersecurity goals.

The industry forum, on the other hand, is a platform that periodically brings the industry together to discuss matters of common interest to the industry.
