Garden City University introduces new graduate programmes

The Garden City University (GCU), a leading private university in the Ashanti Region, has introduced new graduate programmes aimed at responding to the evolving demands of the job market.  

As part of its commitment to training relevant manpower, the university has designed new curricula and will roll out four graduate programmes in the 2025/2026 academic year. 

New programmes

The new programmes are Master of Public Health (MPH), MSc in Health Services Management, MSc in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics, and Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Sustainability.

The programmes would be offered by the School of Graduate Studies and Research and are intended to strengthen GCU’s reputation, particularly in the training of health and other critical professionals. 

Introduction

Speaking on the introduction of the programmes, the acting President of GCU, Nana K. Owusu-Kwarteng, said the initiative formed part of the university’s efforts to keep pace with global trends and to produce graduates equipped with skills relevant to the modern job market.

According to him, the university was deliberately aligning its academic offerings with industry needs to ensure that graduates are well-positioned to contribute meaningfully to national development.

In addition to the new graduate programmes, GCU has also introduced new undergraduate programmes.

It is the Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Science.
