Chiefs from across the Ashanti Region converged at the Manhyia Palace on Sunday, December 21, to pay homage to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, during the celebration of the 9th Akwasidae festival.

The Akwasidae festival, which is observed every six weeks, serves as a sacred occasion for honouring ancestors and reaffirming the unity and history of the Asante Kingdom. The event was marked by traditional rites, vibrant drumming, energetic dancing, and the exchange of courtesies between the Asantehene and his chiefs.
