ECOBANK Ghana has rewarded customers in the first draw of its 5-Star Enjoyment Promotion, organised to appreciate customers for their loyalty and to encourage continued banking activity during the festive season.
The promotion targeted customers who made deposits in multiples of GH¢400 or took loans in multiples of GH¢4,000.
The draw was held at the Ecobank Osu Branch, where winners were selected and rewarded under the supervision of regulators.
The promotion formed part of the bank’s end-of-year customer appreciation efforts.
Director of Marketing for Ecobank Ghana, Regina Ofori said the promotion was expected to reward more than 10,000 customers across different categories.
Prizes included cash rewards, shopping and gift vouchers, fuel coupons, airtime, and insurance cover.
“Ecobank put together this promotion to say thank you to our customers for their loyalty throughout the year and to give back to them as we celebrate the festive season,” she said.
She explained that the first draw covered customers who transacted in November, adding that more draws would be conducted for customers who transacted in December and January.
“This promotion gives all customers a fair chance to be rewarded, and those who are not yet banking with us still have the opportunity to participate in the next draws,” she said.
Customers qualified for the draw by depositing funds in multiples of GH¢400, taking loans in multiples of GH¢4,000, or transacting through the Ecobank mobile app.
Every four transactions on the app earned customers a point, which increased their chances of winning.
Mrs Ofori said the initiative also encouraged customers to save during the festive season to prepare for financial pressures in the new year.
“We know December comes with heavy spending, but January bills will come. This promotion encourages customers to save or access support through loans to ease that burden,” she said.
The full list of winners comprised five customers who won GH¢10,000 each, 10 customers who received GH¢5,000 each, 20 customers who took home GH¢2,500 each, and 25 customers who won GH¢2,000 each, while 500 customers received a one-year insurance cover worth GH¢10,000, 250 customers were awarded gift vouchers, another 250 customers received fuel coupons, and 2,000 customers benefited from airtime rewards.
Oversight
Representing the National Lottery Authority, Marketing Executive, Priscilla Akuamoah, endorsed the process and confirmed the integrity of the draw.
“As regulators, we ensure that all entries are validated and that no staff or related parties are included. I can confidently say all winners selected today are a true and fair reflection of the promo,” she said.
The promotion will continue with subsequent draws scheduled for customers who transact in December and January.
