In an update on the outbreak, the GHS also reported two new deaths, raising the total number of Mpox-related deaths to six. No new admissions have, however, been recorded.

GHS noted that Mpox spreads mainly through close contact with an infected person and has urged the public to remain vigilant and take preventive measures to protect themselves and others.

The public is advised to maintain good personal hygiene and promptly report to the nearest health facility if they experience symptoms such as fever, rash, headache, muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes, chills, or unusual tiredness.
