Gender Ministry Disclaims Fraudulent National Family Support Allowance Announcement

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MGCSP) has issued a disclaimer about a viral National Family Support Allowance announcement.

It notes that the scheme, which demands registration fee of GHC1,350, is fraudulent.
“The Ministry hereby strongly dissociates itself from this announcement and declares it false and misleading. No programme under the name National Family Support Allowance with a value of GHC1,350 for 3 months has been launched by the Ministry.”

It added that the website link attached to the announcement is not an official platform of the Government of Ghana or MoGCSP.

“All official social protection programmes are announced through verified government channels, including the Ministry’s official website, press releases, and press conferences, as well as accredited media houses.”

It therefore advised the public to disregard the post and refrain from clicking on the link provided or submitting any personal information, as it may be intended to defraud unsuspecting citizens.
