Ghanaian songstress Wendy Shay is making waves on the continental stage, adding another accolade to her career as she wins ‘Best Female Artiste in Western Africa’ with “Too Late” at the All-Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) 2026.

The event, which took place in Lagos, Nigeria, was a five-day affair, featuring business summits and the awards night as a climax

Amongst many capable contenders in the category were the likes of Tiwa Savage, Moliy, Ayra Star, Amaarae and others.

And I want to say thank you to my baby, Tracy Shay for dancing to too late, it went viral because of her.” She said, acknowledging Tracy Shay for her efforts in promoting the song.
