Vacate Before January 20- KMA to Traders Along Santasi Roundabout to Asokwa Interchange

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has directed traders occupying the Santasi Roundabout to the Asokwa interchange stretch to voluntarily vacate before January 20.

This is to make way for the construction of the dual-carriage road from Santasi to the Asokwa interchange.

According to the Assembly, the project has already begun.

It urged the traders to comply to ensure timely completion.

It reported that the engineers from the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWL) and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have started relocating essential installations along the stretch.

In addition, the Assembly requested owners of affected garages to contact the NADMO, Physical Planning and Urban Roads for assistance in reallocating.

It may be recalled that the KMA issued a statement on September 24, 2025, to announce the dualization plan, directing car dealers, mechanic shops, taxi operators, squatters, temporary structure owners, and other traders located along the route vacate before November 1, 2025.
