Coffie Agyemang has been arrested for attempting to sell three-year-old son

The Ghana Police Service has arrested a young man identified as Coffie Agyemang for allegedly attempting to sell his three-year-old son.

In a video making waves on X on January 13, 2026, it was reported that the suspect, Coffie Agyemang, a resident of Kwamang, was arrested by the police after allegedly attempting to sell his son for GH¢1 million.

According to reports, the suspect had discussed plans to sell his son to an associate, citing financial hardship as his motive.

In the two-minute video making waves on X, it was noted that the police were alerted to his intentions and subsequently posed as a buyer.

It was also reported that during negotiations with the police, Coffie Agyemang allegedly agreed that after parts of his three-year-old son’s body were cut off, the remaining mortal remains would be handed over to him for burial.

Meanwhile, Coffie Agyemang is currently in police custody and is assisting with the investigation.
