In a social media post shared on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, his birthday, the award-winning artist reflected on Ghana’s global image as one of the most peaceful nations.
“Guys, we really are from one of the best (in so many ways) and most peaceful countries in the world. No matter what we go through personally and the struggles of life, let’s not take this for granted,” he wrote.
“The spirit of the Almighty is with us here. We’re favoured and blessed. Let’s love each other and protect our own to the best of our ability.”
Beyond the message of unity and gratitude, D-Black marked his birthday with a humanitarian gesture. He visited the Rising Star Orphanage in Dodowa, where he donated through the Desmond Blackmore Foundation.
Since 2011, the musician-turned-entrepreneur has consistently extended support to orphanages and vulnerable children across Ghana, including institutions at Korle Bu, Teshie, and the Osu Children’s Home, reaffirming his long-standing commitment to giving back to society.
