GHANAIAN Dancehall and Reggae musician Ras Kuuku has officially opened his 2026 music chapter with a new release, Ramputu Freestyle, which hit digital platforms on January 2.

The two-minute song sees the Ghetto Youth President delivering raw, unfiltered bars over highspeed beats, showcasing the kind of street energy that has become his signature.

Speaking to Graphic Showbiz on Friday January 9, 2026 on the latest release, Ras Kuuku revealed that the timing of the release was deliberate.

“I wanted to come in strong this year and remind people of where I’m coming from. Ramputu Freestyle is raw, real and straight from the streets,” he said.

For Ras Kuuku, the song is more than just vibes; it is a declaration of focus and readiness for the year ahead.

“It’s not about hooks or chorus. It’s about energy, mindset and letting people know that I’m fully locked in for 2026,” he explained.

The 2020 TGMA Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year also hinted that this is just the beginning of a series of releases set for the year.

“This year, I’m coming with consistency and quality. Ramputu Freestyle is just the beginning,” he added.

Already, the song is creating buzz on TikTok and other streaming platforms, and the Wo crooner says it is just the beginningof bigger things for him.

“I want the world to know that  Ras Kuuku is set to make 2026 a landmark year for his music career. He is going to keep fans hooked and they should expect nothing but fire from the streets.
