The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Aseidu Nkatia, is set to grace Amenfi Central with a high-profile visit this Saturday, January 24, 2026, as part of his nationwide thank-you tour to supporters across the country.
The visit, scheduled to begin at exactly 11:00 AM at the Durbar center in Manso Amenfi, is expected to draw thousands of party faithful and residents of the constituency, as the NDC seeks to deepen grassroots engagement and express gratitude for the overwhelming support received in recent elections.
Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central and a prominent figure within the party, has issued an impassioned call to all NDC members and residents of the constituency to turn out in large numbers to welcome the national leader.
“This is a momentous occasion for Amenfi Central,” said Joana Gyan Cudjoe. “Chairman Aseidu Nkatia’s visit is not only a show of appreciation to our dedicated party foot soldiers, but also an opportunity for our people to hear firsthand the national vision of our party under his leadership. I urge every NDC supporter, youth, woman, and concerned citizen to come out and make this event a success.”
Amenfi Central has remained a stronghold for the NDC in the Western Region, and the MP credits this consistency to disciplined organization, community engagement, and unwavering loyalty to the party’s ideals.
Chairman Aseidu Nkatia’s national thank-you tour, aims to reconnect with grassroots activists, assess party strength across constituencies, and mobilize support ahead of the 2028 general elections. His itinerary includes visits to constituencies in coastal, forest, and northern zones of the country.
During the Manso Amenfi event, the national chairman is expected to address key issues including youth employment, agriculture development, education, and the future direction of the party. He will also meet with local executives, traditional leaders, and faith-based groups in sessions following the public rally.
Security arrangements are being coordinated with local police and party volunteer units to ensure a peaceful and orderly gathering.
Residents are encouraged to arrive early to secure vantage positions, and party members have been advised to wear official NDC regalia to demonstrate unity and enthusiasm.
Saturday’s gathering is seen as a pivotal moment to energize the base and reinforce party cohesion as Ghana approaches a crucial political cycle.
