One person has died in a road traffic accident involving a Howo Sinotruk loaded with cement at Breku Forest near the Pra River on the Accra–Kumasi Highway.
The vehicle with registration number AS-4114-24 overturned, trapping its three occupants on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
A combined rescue team from Konongo–Odumase and Juaso, led by SubO Siaw Richardson, extricated two who had sustained various degrees of injuries.
They were conveyed to Juaso Government Hospital by the Ambulance Service.
Meanwhile, the deceased person was retrieved and handed over to the Police.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reported that the cause of the accident is under investigation.
Meanwhile, it commended its officers for their professionalism, bravery, and swift response in saving lives.
