Former Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Adutwum has said that he would stand tall among his competitors in the upcoming NPP primaries, and become the next president of Ghana.
The former minister of education made the statement in an interview on Gh One TV which was sighted by Gh Page.
The flagbearer hopeful believes that “Delegates are looking for a winner in the general election. They are elected by proxy”.
Adding that “They are not just looking at somebody they love to death. They are looking for somebody the general population will accept”.
He noted that because of his position as the education minister, he is widely known by many students, teachers, and parents, a clear indication that he would emerge as the winner in the upcoming NPP primaries.
“As a former education minister, millions of students know me. Teachers know me. Students know me. Parents know me,” he noted, adding that “These are people who know me firsthand. So it’s not just about delegates”.
He advised that “The most important poll is the poll on Election Day. Anybody who thinks they can predict delegates is making a big mistake”, concluding that “Let’s wait till January 31”.
