NPP flagbearer hopeful and former Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Adutwum has blown his trumpet, stating that he would emerge the winner in the upcoming NPP primaries.
The former minister of education’s comment came in an interview on Gh One TV monitored by Gh Page.
Dr. Yaw Adutwum has stated emphatically that he wouldn’t be throwing his support to any candidate, as it has been advised by the leaders of the party.
The politician believes that, he is in it to win, so, if anyone is to throw support to the other, it is his competitors who are to throw their support to him.
“Nobody is going to get my support. I’m not throwing my weight behind anybody. I am in to win”, he said.
Dr. Yaw Adutwum noted that he has numerous wet blankets around him, however, their roles in his life don’t tickle him.
The politician shared how some close associates discouraged him when he had the dream to become a Member of Parliament, stating that “I heard the same thing when I came to contest for MP. People said I was testing the waters. I said no, I have no water to test. I go in with my all to win”.
Despite the discouragement, Dr. Yaw Adutwum claims “At the end, I got 72 percent of the votes. So I don’t test waters. I go in to win,” adding that “This is not about trying. This is about winning”.
The politician concluded that “I didn’t come here to play politics. I came here to compete”.
