Fire has ravaged Anloga Market at Afful Nkwanta in the Ashanti Region, consuming thousands of cedis in goods.
This is the second fire recorded in a commercial hub within the region in the past two days.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reported that the fire broke out on Monday night, prompting an immediate response.
It confirmed that the blaze affected several commercial shops.
Following a fierce firefight, the blaze was brought under control with the assistance of three fire engines and a water tanker.
“No casualties recorded yet,” it further reported.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
It comes after a fire broke out at Sofoline Magazine in the Ashanti Region on Sunday, affecting 27 cars and 22 shops, as well as their contents.
