The family of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, has threatened legal action over a purported will circulating on social media, which it has described as false.
In a statement dated January 27, 2026, and signed by Kobina Andoh Amoakwa, the Agyeman-Rawlings family dismissed the document as a complete fabrication and strongly condemned its circulation.
“The Agyeman-Rawlings family wishes to categorically state that a publication circulating, especially on social media, referring to a purported will of Her Excellency Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, is false,” the statement said.
The family emphasised that the publication should not be given any credibility, describing it as a deliberate creation by mischievous individuals.
According to the statement, “The entire publication is a concocted fabrication and should be treated with absolute contempt.”
They revealed that steps have already been taken to address the matter and prevent further spread of the false information.
The family also appealed to the public to exercise restraint and respect their privacy during this period of mourning.
“Appropriate action is being taken to address the false publication,” the statement noted.
It concluded by urging the public to respect the dignity and reputation of the former First Lady and allow the family the privacy they need as they grieve.
