Deputy Minister of Education, Dr Clement Apaak, has dismissed claims circulating on social media suggesting a rift between him and the substantive Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, describing the reports as false and misleading.

The clarification follows the circulation of a video on social media, featuring commentary by broadcaster Kelvin Taylor on the With All Due Respect programme, which implied internal disagreements within the leadership of the Ministry of Education.

In a statement issued on Friday, January 30, 2026, Dr Apaak said the assertions made in the video do not reflect the reality within the Ministry or his personal experience working with the Education Minister.

“Hon. Dr Clement Apaak fully dissociates himself from the claims made by Kelvin Taylor in the video,” the statement said.

According to the statement, the Deputy Minister has never raised concerns or grievances regarding his role or the delegation of responsibilities within the Ministry.

It further emphasised that Minister Haruna Iddrisu has consistently promoted a collaborative and inclusive working relationship, enabling effective teamwork at the Ministry.

The statement added that Dr Apaak continues to play an active role in the Ministry’s work, including representing it at high-level engagements and key decision-making platforms.

The Office of the Deputy Minister has therefore urged the public to disregard the claims circulating on social media, describing them as speculative and inconsistent with the professional harmony and shared commitment guiding the work of the Ministry of Education.
