Gospel minister Edwin Dadson, in collaboration with Spikenard Music International and partners, has donated GH¢50,000 to Little Hearts Foundation, a paediatric cardiac medical centre in Accra, to support children living with congenital heart conditions.

The foundation, led by Nana Akyaa Yao, a renowned paediatric cardiologist, provides specialised care and life-saving heart surgeries for children across Ghana and beyond.

The money was raised from the proceeds of Pastor Dadson’s annual gospel concert, “This Far By Grace”, which has become a powerful platform for both spiritual upliftment and social impact.

Worship with impact

Speaking at the donation ceremony, Pastor Dadson explained that the initiative was inspired by a charge in the Bible for Christians to support the needy and the sick.

He stated that the initiative highlights the growing role of faith-based and creative platforms in advancing healthcare access and promoting sustainable social change in Ghana.

Pastor Dadson said previous editions of the “This Far By Grace” concert had benefited from strategic partnerships with organisations such as mNotify and Signum Development, whose support contributed significantly to earlier fundraising milestones, and expressed special appreciation to volunteers, donors and well-wishers whose consistent contributions continued to drive the success of the initiative.

He, on behalf of the partners, Spikenard Music International and partners, reaffirmed their commitment to using music, worship and compassion to restore hope and save lives.

“Worship must go beyond the altar and touch lives. When God touches us, we must also touch others.

“Supporting these children and witnessing their successful surgeries brings us deep fulfilment.

We want them to grow up one day and confidently say, ‘We too have come this far by grace’.”

He said it would be a regular affair and indicated that the amount would be more in the future.

Gratitude

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Foundation, Prof. Nana Akyaa Yao, on behalf of the foundation and the beneficiaries, expressed heartfelt appreciation, describing the gesture as life-changing.

“This contribution is truly life-changing. Donations like this directly translate into surgeries, medication and specialised care for children who may otherwise not survive.
