Ten years after the brutal murder of former Abuakwa North Member of Parliament, Joseph Kofi Kyeretwie Boakye Danquah Adu, questions surrounding the case remain unanswered, with justice yet to be served.

Marking the 10th anniversary of his death on Monday, February 9, 2026, his widow, Ivy Heward-Mills, shared a poignant message on Facebook reflecting on her husband’s life, legacy, and the enduring pain felt by the family as the legal process continues without closure.

“Ten years have passed since you were taken from us, yet not a day goes by without your presence being felt in our hearts and lives,” she wrote.

The tribute described Danquah Adu as a man who lived in service to God, his family, his constituency, and the nation, guided by humility, diligence, principle, and an unmistakable smile.

While framed as a remembrance, the message carried an unspoken frustration over the prolonged judicial process surrounding his death.

“We will continue to honour your memory, not only in words, but in deeds that reflect the values you stood for,” she added.

Family friends and relatives, including members of the Heward-Mills and Jones-Quartey families, also joined in the remembrance, reaffirming that the late MP remains “deeply loved and fondly remembered.”

JB Danquah Adu was murdered in his residence in Accra in February 2016, a crime that shocked the nation and drew widespread calls for accountability.

A decade on, his family’s tribute serves as both a memorial and a quiet reminder that justice delayed remains justice denied.
