The three-member committee established by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to probe allegations of inducement and vote buying during the Ayawaso East parliamentary primaries is expected to submit its report on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

The committee was constituted following claims that some aspirants engaged in bribery during the party’s parliamentary primary held on Saturday, February 7.

Central to the allegations is an accusation that one of the aspirants, Baba Jamal, distributed television sets, cash and other items to delegates in an effort to influence the outcome of the election.

Although Jamal emerged victorious, the results have generated significant controversy within the party.

The Majority in Parliament, along with some senior figures in the NDC, have called for the annulment of the primary.

However, constituency executives in Ayawaso East have rejected those calls, insisting the process was fair.
