The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has deployed an upgraded pay-slip system for all government employees on the national payroll.

The initiative is to enhance the transparency and accessibility of payroll information.

A statement signed by the Head of Public Relations at the CAGD, Cephas N.  Dosoo, and released to the Daily Graphic, asked all employees to use their National Identification

Authority (NIA) numbers to access the Government of Ghana (GoG) employee pay-slip system.

This requirement, according to the statement, would ensure the security and accuracy of personal payroll information.

Accessibility

Explaining how to access the pay-slip system, the statement urged workers to log onto: click on forgot password and enter their employee number.

It said workers must then enter their Ghana card number for verification, confirm their details and edit.

The statement further urged workers to add their phone numbers, which, it said, was compulsory and said adding or editing email was optional.

The statement also added that workers must verify their phone numbers by inputting the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to them.

“Enter a new password, confirm the password, select a security question and provide an answer to the selected question. Keep this question and answer very well and private, it would be used in subsequent password resets,” it advised.

The statement also asked workers to confirm all information on the summary page, click the checkbox to confirm, and hit the register button to sign up.
