The Africa Education Watch (Eduwatch) has demanded an investigation into a viral filming of students by a teacher in the course of lessons.
Sharing the video on Facebook, the Executive Director of the Education think tank, Kofi Asare, questioned the intent of the video.
According to him, the fast-dominating act by teachers is unprofessional.
“When did filming learners become a part of our pedagogy? Is this how English is taught by a licensed teacher? Looks more like guesswork to me. Anaa?”
He further called on the Ghana Education Service (GES) to probe the video.
“Well, the GES must investigate this. Teaching is fast becoming content creation.”
The video showed students in a mud building on a dusty ground, with no desks, taking a practical test on prepositions.
