The purported attempt by a lady to set fire to the Alpha Hour auditorium during a prayer session has been caught on CCTV.Information that is now available indicates that the woman blended in with the congregation and seemed to take part in the prayers before being captured on CCTV pouring what was thought to be gasoline onto seats that were close to the altar and then setting them on fire.
Burning. Employees keeping an eye on the CCTV system noticed the strange activity and promptly notified the church’s security team.
Security personnel promptly stepped in, took the woman into custody on the spot, and put out the fire before it could spread and cause significant damage. There were worries about the possible threat to the pastor’s life because the fire was allegedly started near his office, which is claimed to have a one-way escape.
Pastor Elvis Agyemang, the convener of Alpha Hour, responded to the incident by declaring that all in-person prayer meetings in the auditorium would be suspended indefinitely.
“This won’t deter us. Pastor Agyemang stated, “We will fix the place, and prayers will continue.” The auditorium had been the target of multiple attacks recently. He also revealed that CCTV footage from the previous year purportedly showed people dragging idols into the auditorium, sprinkling powders, and using other odd stuff. While the suspect is still being held, police are anticipated to conduct additional investigation.
