Former Minister for Defense and Member of Parliament for the Bimbila constituency, Hon. Dominic Nitiwul, has reacted to the arrest of a fake soldier.

To anyone at sea, a fake soldier was arrested on Monday, February 9, at the 37 Military Hospital for defrauding innocent Ghanaians.

Following his arrest, the former defense minister took time off his busy schedule to go to the Nima Police station, where he was kept to be dragged and reported to the police.

Speaking to the police commander, Hon. Nitiwul noted that the arrested fake soldier has been tarnishing his hard-earned reputation for a long time now.

He revealed that for some years now, the fake soldier uses his name and details to create social media handles, and all he does is defraud innocent people of their money.

According to the member of Parliament, not once or twice, the arrested man has duped numerous Ghanaians under his name.

“Commander, this boy has used my name to dupe so many people. He creates Facebook profiles and uses my name to dupe so many people,” he said.
