Retired FIFA referee, William Agbovi has described the Super Clash between Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak as the ultimate platform for referees in Ghana.

According to Agbovi, officiating the country’s fiercest rivalry comes with enormous pressure but also provides an unmatched opportunity.

“The Kotoko-Hearts game is a huge platform. Everybody is watching that match, both local and international. That is where you make your name. That is where you are pushed,” Agbovi said on Peace FM.

Reflecting on his own journey, the former FIFA badge holder revealed that he handled the famous clash nine times before retiring the game.
