The Ghana Police Service in the Okpoi-Gono District have arrested two suspects and rescued multiple victims from organized cybercrime activities in Tema.

According to the police in a statement on February 12, 2026, “Acting on the instructions of Inspector General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohuno, a combined team from the Special Operations Authority (SOA) and personnel from the Okpoi-Gono District Headquarters, led by ASP Grace Owusua Gyan on February 2, 2026, conducted a coordinated intelligence-led operation.

“The mission was focused on rescuing kidnapped victims, apprehending the suspects and disrupting ongoing cyber fraud activities.”

The statement explained that two male suspects, Robinson Endurance and Derrick Glory, were arrested at Devtraco Estate, Community 25, Tema, without resistance.

The operation also led to the discovery and safe rescue of ten victims who had been illegally detained and exploited for cybercrime purposes.

Police begin investigations into Mahamo murder case

“Law enforcement officers also recovered critical evidence used in the cyber fraud operations, including 19 laptops, 20 mobile phones and two WiFi routers.

“Photographs of the suspects, victims and recovered exhibits have been documented and attached for official records.”

The Okpoi-Gono District Police have assured that further updates on the investigation and prosecution of the suspects will be communicated as the matter progresses.
