The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has reported an outbreak of fire at the Gambaga Witches Camp in the North-East Region.
The fire gutted an ‘unused’ eight-room structure at the Camp on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
After getting to the scene at 1414 hours, the fire was brought under control at 1620 hours, and fully extinguished at 1630 hours.
The crew successfully saved three rooms without recording any casualties.
It further reported a poor road network as a major hindrance.
The blaze is suspected to have been caused by bush burning.
