Akosah Vinchy born Osei Bonsu Akosah on March 9, 1999 is a dynamic artist hailing from Ghana who has spent the last 3 years officially carving out his space in the music industry. Blending Afro Rap, Afro Pop, Afrobeat, and Hip Hop, Vinchy describes his unique style as a seamless combination of singing and rapping that culminates in a distinct Afro pop sound.

The Journey & Influence

Interestingly, Vinchy’s path to music wasn’t a straight line. Growing up, his primary passion was acting and comedy. He found joy in making people laugh, a talent that made him a favorite among his peers. However, his entertainment journey took a pivotal turn when he discovered a deep love for the craft of writing rap. Inspired by Ghanaian heavyweights like Sarkodie, Medikal, Kwesi Arthur, and Joey B, he realized he had the same potential.

Transitioning from acting to music was a leap of faith he is glad he took. As an independent artist, Vinchy has navigated the highs and lows of the industry—experiencing the good, the bad, the positive, and the negative. Through it all, his drive remains unshaken because he views his musical talent not just as a career, but as a “calling” or a spiritual gift from the Universe.
