A landmark gathering of over 1,000 entrepreneurs is anticipated at the expanded 2026 Kwahu Business Forum, a flagship initiative aimed at fortifying the bastion of Ghanaian entrepreneurship.
Conceived as a targeted intervention, the forum seeks to catalyze economic growth in the Eastern Region, leveraging the Kwahu enclave’s storied reputation as a crucible of commercial innovation.
According to Benjamin Essuman, Special Aide to the Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, the forum’s inception was driven by a desire to provide structured support for entrepreneurs from the Kwahu area, thereby harnessing the community’s innate entrepreneurial prowess.
“The initiative was designed to provide structured support for entrepreneurs from the Kwahu area of the Eastern Region, drawing on the enclave’s long-standing reputation as a cradle of Ghanaian enterprise,” Essuman stated.
Since its inaugural edition in 2024, the Kwahu Business Forum has burgeoned into a prominent fixture on Ghana’s business calendar, attracting a diverse array of companies and entrepreneurs from multiple sectors.
Essuman emphasized that the forum is a deliberate effort to harness the entrepreneurial DNA of Kwahu communities, connecting it to national development planning.
“The idea was rooted in a deliberate effort to harness the entrepreneurial DNA of Kwahu communities and connect it more directly to national development planning,” he told the Kwahu Ambassador.
