First Lady Lordina Dramani Mahama joined fellow African first ladies today at the 30th Ordinary Assembly of the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD) in Addis Ababa. The gathering is being held alongside the 39th Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union.
Under the theme “Building Resilience,” this year’s two-day meeting focuses on empowering African communities to navigate current global challenges.
Following the opening session, the first ladies and their technical advisors convened a closed-door meeting before joining their spouses for the official opening of the AU Assembly.
Renowned for her work in women’s empowerment, children’s welfare, and community development, Mrs. Mahama is set to address the OAFLAD assembly on Sunday.
