Government says it has received reports of a terrorist attack in northern Burkina Faso involving a truck carrying tomato traders from Ghana.
The attack happened on Saturday, February 24, near Titao, according to Ghanaian authorities.
In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of the Interior said Ghana’s embassy in Burkina Faso is working with local officials to visit the scene and confirm the identities of any Ghanaians affected.
The confirmation was issued by Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, Minister for the Interior and National Security.
Officials say more details will be shared once verification is completed.
