King Jerry is a Ghanaian musician
Ghanaian musician King Jerry has opened up about his strained relationship with veteran rapper Tinny, accusing him of masterminding events that led to the breakdown of his management and record label deals.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM on February 13, 2026, King Jerry stated that although he once admired Tinny, their relationship has deteriorated.
“Tinny and I are not cool. He is someone we’ve all considered our father and he’s one of the people who paved way for us. I remember when I was coming up as a musician, I used to listen to him a lot. I’ve always looked up to him, but it’s not like he had taught us something,” he said.
According to King Jerry, Tinny’s involvement in his management affairs created tension between him and his former manager, eventually affecting his contract with a record label.
“Tinny set me up and I no longer work with my manager because of him. I’m not under any record label today because of him.
“I don’t know how my manager got to know Tinny but before my contract with the record label would end, my manager called him to say that he should join the management team,” he alleged.
He further claimed that Tinny would question his manager about promotional materials and bookings.

“It got to a time that when he sees my image on a flyer, he would go and ask my manager if he’s aware of it. I’ve played a lot of free shows for him. He would be paid for a show, but when he asked me to follow him to the event, I performed for him for free,” he shared.
King Jerry also alleged that Tinny deliberately created tension between him and his manager by involving both of them in calls without his consent.
“Tinny would intentionally call me and add my manager on the same call without my knowledge. He would then bring up a conversation about how poorly my manager’s work was. He would just say bad things about my manager so that they would hear what I’ve got to say,” he claimed.
He noted that he confided in Tinny about his frustrations at the time, but the situation later backfired.
“I confided in him and said everything that bothered me at the time. Because of that, my manager couldn’t sign me again when our contract ended. When I confronted him about it, he boldly told me that it wasn’t a big deal,” he recounted.
King Jerry further revealed that he is currently unsigned and personally funding his music career.
“I’m no longer under any record label, I’ve been the one trying hard to push my music,” he added.
