A pastor sustained injuries, while a bucket-full of cash was found burnt in a domestic fire at Kwashieman Been-To in the Greater Accra Region.
The fire is said to have started around 3 pm on February 14, with personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) successfully extinguishing it at 4:45 pm.
The incident resulted in the destruction of one bedroom and its contents, as well as another bedroom and a hall.
“An unspecified amount of money was also partially burnt,” the Service reported in a statement issued on Monday.
It further reported that three adjoining rooms were successfully salvaged. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
The service said the injured 53-year-old man, identified as Pastor Matthew, was conveyed to Ablekuma North Polyclinic for treatment.
