According to rumors that reached Gh Page’s news desk, prominent lawmaker Kennedy Agyapong has purportedly resigned from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), suggesting that Ghana’s political landscape may be about to undergo a significant upheaval. The longstanding NPP stalwart and MP for Assin Central has reportedly made the decision to leave the party and is getting ready to start his own political outfit.Kennedy Agyapong has not yet issued an official statement, but according to insiders, internal conflicts and party tensions may have played a role in the reported decision.If verified, his resignation would rank among the biggest political departures in recent memory. One of the most outspoken and divisive members of the NPP, Kennedy Agyapong is renowned for his audacious remarks and potent appeal to the masses.
