Morning Glory MCDC has donated more than 300 tables and chairs to selected basic schools in the Krowor Municipality, as part of activities marking its upcoming 30th anniversary in September.

The donation, carried out during an outreach exercise on February 13 and 14, 2026, is aimed at improving learning conditions and easing overcrowding in classrooms across the municipality.

According to the Campus Head of the Junior Department, Reginald Isaac Appertey, the initiative reflects the school’s long-standing commitment to community development.

“For 30 years, we have grown alongside our community, and giving back is part of who we are. Supporting these schools is our way of helping raise the next generation of leaders together,” he said.

Morning Glory MCDC is a Grade “A” accredited private institution recognised by the Ghana Education Service. It offers education from crèche to junior high school, combining the national curriculum with Cambridge and Montessori approaches.

The donation exercise targeted five private basic schools within the Krowor Municipality, including SPMagna School at Nungua Zongo, Vivibon School at Nungua East Nkpor, Heritage School at Nungua West Nkpor, Fransland School at Nungua Buade, and DRIS School, also at Nungua Buade.

The furniture, which had been replaced by the school, was redistributed to help improve classroom organisation and student comfort.

School authorities who received the items expressed appreciation, noting that the additional tables and chairs would enhance teaching and learning.

Some said overcrowding and inadequate furniture have remained a challenge for many private and public basic schools in the area, affecting pupils’ concentration and academic performance.

The outreach forms part of a series of activities being rolled out by Morning Glory MCDC ahead of its 30th anniversary celebration later this year.

Management says the anniversary is not only a time for reflection but also an opportunity to deepen its relationship with host communities.

The school has, over the years, positioned itself as a partner in local development, particularly in education, health, and youth empowerment initiatives within Krowor and surrounding areas.
