The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for South Tongu Constituency, Maxwell Kwame Lukutor, has stated that his interventions in the health and judicial sectors form part of a broader agenda to strengthen public institutions and improve the provision of essential services across the constituency.
He said he would continue to prioritise the development and well-being of the people of the constituency.
Mr Lukutor said this when he inspected a newly acquired surgical equipment worth over GH¢500,000 at the South Tongu District Hospital.
Health care
The equipment, secured through the MP’s lobbying efforts, is aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery and strengthening surgical services at the facility.
During the inspection, Mr Lukutor expressed satisfaction with the installation of the equipment and reiterated his commitment to improving access to quality health care for residents of the constituency.
He noted that equipping the district hospital with modern tools would reduce referrals and ensure timely medical interventions for patients.
Justice delivery
In a related development, Mr Lukutor also donated office chairs and a 3-in-1 printer to the District Court in Dabala to improve its administrative efficiency.
The donation followed concerns raised about inadequate office logistics affecting the smooth running of the court.
The gesture is expected to enhance the court’s operations and contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of justice in the district.
