The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has announced the timelines for the party’s branch and regional executive elections as part of its nationwide reorganisation exercise.

Addressing a press conference at the party’s headquarters on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, Mr Kodua Frimpong said the exercise is aimed at strengthening the party’s internal structures ahead of future political engagements.

According to him, the branch election processes — including the opening and closing of nominations, vetting, appeals, data entry and validation of the party album — will run from 15 July to 9 August 2026.

He stressed that all processes are expected to be completed within the stipulated period to ensure a smooth transition to the next phase of the party’s internal elections.

“Branch elections shall be between branch opening and closing of nominations, vetting, appeals, data entry and validation of album from 15 July to 9 August 2026,” he stated.

Party officials say the process is crucial to strengthening the party’s organisational capacity and positioning it for upcoming national political activities.
