New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary, Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong, has stated that the party’s national executives, guided by the National Executive Committee (NEC), are committed to rebuilding the party through credible internal elections.
At a press briefing, Frimpong emphasised that transparent and fair internal elections are key to strengthening the party’s grassroots base.
According to him, the upcoming internal elections are in line with the party’s quest to wrest power from the NDC in the 2028 general elections, adding that the party recognises the need to rebuild.
He further stated that it behoves the party to proceed deliberately and strategically in establishing robust, coherent, and sustainable structures for the election of party officers, from the polling station level to the national level.
Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong also explained that, pursuant to Article 3 of the NPP constitution as amended by the NEC, the registration of party members shall be conducted at their respective polling stations where they cast their votes.
He urged all members of the “elephant family” to take a keen interest in the upcoming registration exercise, warning that failure to do so will deprive individuals of their right to vote during the election of party officers.
